Aleksander Werecki w parze z Kamilem Nalepą pokonali w 1/8 finału debla kadetów włosko-szkocką parę Antonino Amato/Christopher Wheeler 3:2.
Polacy grali w kartkę, seriami gubiąc i zdobywając punkty. W piątym secie, przegrywali już 6:9 i wyglądali na zrezygnowanych, ale spokojną grą wywalczyli kolejno pięć punktów i awansowali do ćwierćfinału.
W meczu o medal zmierzą się z mocną mołdawską parą Cristian Chirita/Andrei Putuntica. Mołdawianie pokonali w 1/8 finału Japończyków Takeru Kashiwę i Yu Kayamę 3:1. W turnieju drużynowym Chirita i Putuntica dotarli do półfinału, odpadając po emocjonującym meczu z Rumunią. Werecki i Nalepa w drużynówce nie wyszli z grupy eliminacyjnej. Przegrali tam całe spotkanie właśnie z Kashiwą i Kayamą 2:3, choć warto dodać, że akurat w grze podwójnej okazali się lepsi od Japończyków.
